hannukah oh hannukah festival of lights
yes i know hannukah is over for this year but it didnt really happen this year. everyone at the institute was working on there final projects of the sememster and noone had time for a game of dradel. and then i went home to NJ and it never happened either. well getting home to NJ was a combo gift from my family. but no dradel. and then while in NJ baby ian and mandible and beth and chloe and i made and ate yummy latkes with toffutti sour cream. but hannukah really happened a little while ago when james agreed to let me open one gift. and i chose the amazon box from my mom…b/c technically its a hannukah gift not a christmas gift so it should be opened. and yipppeeee….20 new dvd’s all little house on the prairie my most favorite show (and series of books) of my youth. seasons 1, 2 and 3 and two movies! break out the tissues. i am way excited…its almost 3am and i still too excited to sleep. so thank you mom for the perfect gift!
christmas time in aosta.
snowy mountains. decorations. lights and filled shopping streets. aosta was buzzing with christmasness. we took the fernicular (cable car) up to the top of the mountains to the ski resort town of pila. we went up and sat and looked at the mountains and drank hot chocolates and coffees and i sketched and we took lots of pictures. and enjoyed the freshness and chill in the air. then we went back down and into the town of aosta and checked out the ancient roman stuff and walked around town. good times.
