bocce, fireworks, bbq, more fireworks, sparklers, …..and visiting friends and family. we got to have a little visit with mikey, and i got to see my grandma. bryan and dan came to meet us @ laura’s and aunt wendy even stopped by. =)

oatmeal cookies with gooey sweetness inside. i let the cookies cool for quite sometime but the filling was still a bit runny, i stuck the filling in the fridge for a while and it was easier to work with but still a gooey mess. i will make the filling more icing-ish if i try this again.
still…..crazy yummy and the cookie part really reminded me of the little debbie cakes!

dirt candy gets like 4,000,001 thumbs up for there awesomeness!
they went above and beyond to make sure i had a relaxing allergy-proof meal. i felt totally unworried (which is not usually for a dining-out experience for me, because of multiple food allergies and anaphalaxis) PLUS everything was gorgeous and delicious and somehow light, fresh, and decadent all at once. yaaaay for dirt candy! p.s. everything can be made vegan on request too!
p.s.s. make reservations b.c. they only have like 7 or 8 tables, which makes it even more special there

dirt candy was amazing they made the soup for the day w/o celery just for me! they also tweaked the menu so i would have several choices for each course! what a treat!
